15-Year Reunion Dates: October 21 & 22, 2005

Oct. 2 Letter from Hunter Trumbo

2 October 2005

Howdy Folks,

Just wanted to get some timely information out to you about the reunion weekend (it's less than 3 weeks away).  I'm looking forward to seeing all of you!

If you’re receiving this email, it means that I’ve received your registration, and in most cases, your payments.

In the next week or two you should be receiving a hotel confirmation from the Alumni Association.  We’re staying at the Best Western at Hunt Ridge, and the Sleep Inn right across the street.  The hotels are at the intersection of Rt. 11 and I-64.

Registration – Thursday/Friday afternoons.  Room 300 at the Best Western will host a hospitality suite where you can pick up your reunion information packets, football tickets, name tags, and hook up with our BR's. Any outstanding payments will be collected, and any schedule changes will be provided.  The suite will be open on Thursday & Friday afternoons.

Friday Morning Golf - Golfers please arrive by 8:45am for a 9am shotgun start at the Lexington Golf and Country Club. (540) 463-4141, 141 Country Club Rd, Lexington, VA 24450.  Here’s a link to the map:

Friday Evening BBQ – A bus will be looping from the hotel to McKethan park starting at 6:30pm.  The last bus from McKethan back to the hotel will be around 11:30pm.  Beer/wine/non-alcoholic drinks will be provided at McKethan with the food.  If you want hard liquor, it’s BYOB.   Dress is Casual

Saturday Morning – You should have received an email from the Alumni Association that the times for everything were moved forward a little on Saturday so the football game can be televised. The final schedule will be available in the hospitality suite for Saturday's Class Picture, the Corps Parade, and the football game.

Because Saturday is packed with events, we decided to let people tailgate/"do lunch" on their own to allow some unstructured time on Post.  For anyone who wants it, the Alumni Association has lunch available in Moody Hall for $10/head.  It’s usually fried chicken, coleslaw/potato salad.

Saturday Evening Dinner – The bus will be looping from the hotel to Moody Hall for the dinner, beginning around 6:30 PM, and the last run back to the hotel will be around 11PM.  Dress is business casual.  In Moody Hall no jeans are allowed, and collared shirts are required

Thanks for all the help & input folks.  See you soon,

Hunter
