PaPa Bear Adventures
(8/5/07) My brother (Spike, Major Powers, etc) and I (Karl Powers) are still in Alaska flying fisherman, hunters and just about anybody who will pay us into the great Alaskan Wilderness. Last month the Discovery Channel Show "Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe" was in Bethel filming a show. We housed Mike and crew in our lodge and then flew them out to their filming site. Not sure but I suspect we'll be on the show in some aspect. The show is scheduled to air August 28 on the Discovery Channel at 9 PM EST, if anyone wants to see how old (he turns 50 Aug 21st) Spike has gotten!
For me, I got married to a lady bush pilot (Also a former Miss Alaska), yea go figure. We have a little boy name Roth Jett (RJ) who is 16 months old and thank god doesn't look like me! I've been in Bethel, Alaska for a little over 13 years. Steve moved to Bethel to work in the business (www.pbavdventures.com) about 5 years ago. Our summers are crazy and winters a little cold but life is excellent. If you don't know where Bethel is, we're at the end of the line, even airline jets turn around after bringing us food, drink and a few tourists!!!
