(10/28/06) I moved to DC in February of 2006 to begin a new assignment with the White House Communications Agency. It's a fantastic job that's allowing me to see and participate in history as it happens, and learn a lot professionally as well. I also bought a great new condo and I'm really enjoying all DC has to offer in the way of museums, concerts, food, and other entertainment.
What a small world too - just after I moved here I ran in to Mike Wallace (my dyke from '93) in the Bolling AFB PX. I hadn't seen him since 1990, and it turns out he lives just three blocks away. Also happened to run into Mark Dick at Walter Reed Medical Center where he appears to be keeping the place running singlehandedly.
Right now my plan is to remain in DC, although I do have a selection board coming up in a few months that may put me to a hard decision about moving. Hope everyone else is doing well.
